- Can I add a gallery of photos, for example pictures of the practice, or pictures of the staff.
Yes, this is done using the excellent picasa from google to manage photos.
- Download and install Picasa from Google. It is available for PC, Mac and Linux.
- Create a picasaweb online account. If you have Gmail, you are already sorted.
- Edit, crop and fix the photos within Picasa on your desktop.
- Add descriptions to the photos within Picasa, for example if the photo is of a person, make sure the name is added as the caption.
- Upload the photos to picasaweb, limit the size to 640px. For photos of people you are probably best to reduce to 320px, by using the file export function. Then upload the photo from the ‘exported’ folder.
- Ensure you make the folder public, so the photos are accessible.
- Complete the gallery request form
- Do not remove the photos from picasaweb, they will accessed from picasaweb within your site.
- Can I back up my site myself before making changes?
Yes, using your login you can use the export tool to download a backup of your site. This export tool can also be used to take your site elsewhere! There is no lock-in here.

Hi, I have been browsing through your website. I wanted to ask do you have a monthly fee or annual fee that you charge to make the changes/maintenance?
Also, I was wondering if I could speak to over the telephone?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards

Hi, rude of me not to get back to you sooner.
This site is currently in beta, I plan to go “live” in August 2012, when I can free up the amount of time it will require.
If you would like an unsupported site, simply to try out. Let me know. I can set up a site at yourname.gp-surgery.com, complete with a login identity for you to try.
